CoreNet Global Summit

CoreNet Global is the professional association for corporate real estate executives, service providers and economic developers. The association's annual summit convenes members in the industry from around the world through programs and services to meet the needs of its member companies and individual members.
CHALLENGE
The management team recognized a dual opportunity for their San Diego summit: help attract younger, more diverse talent—for their members' companies and for expanding CoreNet itself. Reaching beyond the usual audience for the summit would support both goals.
SOLUTION
Snowball worked with PR firm Cohn Overstreet & Parrish to create an integrated plan that included online, advertising and event marketing components. We developed a visual identity for the event that was designed to appeal to new audiences and implemented that design consistently across all promotional channels.
RESULT
The faces at the San Diego summit were noticeably younger and more diverse, and attendance of seasoned members was up as well.

Four Pillar Award

The Council for Quality Growth is a trade association with a membership that shares an interest in providing balanced and responsible growth in the metro Atlanta region. The Four Pillar Award is an annual event to honor one individual who has made a positive impact towards balanced and responsible growth in metro Atlanta. John Williams was one of the recipients featured in the promotional materials designed by Snowball. These materials included invitations, reply cards, program collaterals and event signage. The event was well sponsored and well attended.

MADONC

MADONC (Making A Difference in Oncology) is a continuing education symposium for medical practitioners in oncology. I designed promotional materials to help increase attendance by focusing the graphics on the appeal of the tropical destination of St. Pertersburg, Florida. As a result of the increased attendance, MADONC was able to secure sponsorship for the next year, despite the decline in travel across the nation.

OrthoBio

OrthoBio sponsored this continuing education symposium on the pharmaceutical topic of the reimbursement Process. I designed this promotion to help increase attendance. The event was well attended.

Jekyll Island

The Jekyll Island Authority oversees the conservation and development of the island for the State of Georgia. A self-supporting body, it obtains its operating revenues from leases, park fees, and Island amenities.  Income is used to maintain, develop, beautify, and promote the island as a world-class vacation and meeting destination.
CHALLENGE
With overall visitor traffic declining, the Jekyll Island Authority needed to increase visibility for the island and attract more overnight guest stays. The Authority planned to do this by launching a signature event for the island that would be staged annually.
SOLUTION
Working with Cohn Overstreet & Parish (a local PR firm), Snowball developed a concept for an event to pair two regional favorites, shrimp and grits. The event, named Shrimp & Grits: The Wild Georgia Shrimp Festival, paired these culinary favorites with live music, renowned Georgia chef book signings and shrimp-eating contests—among other activities. To build awareness, we created an integrated marketing campaign, including visual branding and marketing materials, print, magazine and radio advertising.
RESULT
In the event’s inaugural year, more than 12,000 people visited Jekyll Island, filling not only the island, but its hotel rooms.

GE Capital

CHALLENGE
GE Capital’s sales incentive program, The Platinum Club, rewards sales executives who achieve their sales goals. The company invests heavily to show these key executives that they are appreciated (one of the perks is a trip to Adair Manor in Ireland), and needed an invite package worthy of the valued group.
SOLUTION
Snowball worked with event management firm USMotivation to design the invite package. We established a theme for the event, offering them “the key to the castle” for their hard work and success. The package included an old-fashioned key to reinforce the theme. Using a less expensive two-color process, we printed blue and green on yellow paper to create a rich color scheme for the brochure and wrapped it in translucent parchment, printed with hand-illustrated Celtic designs and finished with a wax drip seal on the outside.
RESULT
GE Capital had an elegant, sophisticated package to share with its top sales performers. The Adair Manor brochure expressed management’s appreciation and reinforced its investment in the incentive program.

Diebold

Responding to increased competition, Diebold developed a new, high-tech ATM machine called the iX. Working with event management company USMotivation, Snowball designed this promotion to invite the banking industry to a five-city road show tour. The invitation generated great response and helped position Diebold as the leader in ATM machines.

Cable & Wireless

CHALLENGE
Telecom company Cable & Wireless relies on its young and energetic sales team to keep revenue humming. Its sales incentive program needs to keep this group motivated and The Power Challenge event is held each year to encourage high sales performance.
SOLUTION
Working with the event management firm USMotivation, Snowball created a program theme anchored by the tagline, “Get charged!” We developed a logo and kit, which was mailed to all invitees, that included PowerAde, PowerBars and a Power Challenge tshirt, wrapped in electrical wire. We also created all collateral material and posters. Given the young, energetic audience, we chose a youthful, bright color scheme.
RESULT
Cable & Wireless was able to send out a package worthy of their top sales people and appreciated the attention to detail provided, for example, with the wire wrap.

Sex And The City

Home Box Office wanted to distribute a cross advertisement coupon with AT&T at their upcoming premier of Sex and the City. Rather than a simple coupon, Snowball recommended adding value by designing an Atlanta identity for HBO to brand current and future premiers for the local market. The logo was blind embossed on the cover of custom stitched flip books to promote upcoming events. Inserted pages of the flip book included promotional information about the current premiere, upcoming premieres, and a cross advertising coupon. Business reply cards (BRC) were also used to tackle their issue of filling future events. This resulted in a keepsake item and HBO received a 33% response rate from the BRC and spoke of the campaigns success at Emory University.
